HEALING YOUR GUT

HEALING YOUR GUT

We often blame bloating and indigestion on allergies or IBS or other factors.  And although some of them might be true, we also need to look at our lifestyle and eating habits.

What if I told you there was a supplement and other small adjustments you can make to heal your gut?

L-GLUTAMINE

L-Glutamine is an essential amino acid that naturally made by our bodies. It helps form proteins in our bodies and helps support our immune system.  A person needs sufficient proteins to function optimally, and amino acids are the basic building blocks of proteins.  L-glutamine is the most plentiful amino acid in the body and supports intestinal health.

So, if your body makes it, why is L-Glutamine supplement good for you?

Although your body might naturally produce it, some people don’t produce enough, or you might need a boost.

Often, illness or injuries are usually the reasons why you may lack glutamine production.

MY EXPERIENCE

I often experienced bloating and avoided certain foods. I started taking L-glutamine about a month ago. For the first 2 weeks I took it along with a light breakfast breakfast and lots of water. For the following next two weeks I started making breakfast smoothies, implementing more greens and berries. Every morning I made my breakfast smoothie and added 5 grams of L-Glutamine powder and went about my day.

I’ve also started implementing more Macro foods that have good source of

L-glutamine.  For example, Fish, chicken, cabbage, lentils, beans and peas.

RESULTS

So far after a month of taking L-Glutamine powder my bloating has subsided and I do have regular vowel movements.  The other thing that has improve is my energy levels.  Many forget that your digestive system contributes to your energy throughout the day.

It also helped with my fitness and exercise regimen.  Because L-glutamine increase my energy levels I was able to lift heavier and execute more cardio.  It did not however help me gain more muscle. But I did notice my recovery was better after an extreme workout.

L-glutamine supplement is not an end all be all for healing your gut.  It is an extra boost of nutrition.  With healthy exercise and healthy eating habits, as well as more rest, I saw more improvement.  The most important thing is that you start, and L-glutamine is a great way to begin your journey.
